Emily M. Stephenson

Ms. Stephenson focuses her practice primarily on Professional Liability.  She is also a member of the General Liability, Workers’ Compensation and Environmental Law practice groups.  She is actively involved in motion practice, large discovery productions, complex legal research and case-oriented communications.  She joined Telan, Meltz, Wallace & Eide immediately after earning her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, and her B.A. from the University of North Florida, cum laude, in her hometown of Jacksonville.     

During law school, Ms. Stephenson advocated for veterans at Florida State University College of Law’s Public Interest Law Center; gained corporate litigation experience working at a Florida insurance defense and workers’ compensation firm; and clerked for Florida’s Office of the Attorney General.  Prior to law school, she gained courtroom experience aiding attorneys during jury trials as the Duval County Courthouse Paralegal for the State Attorney’s Office, Fourth Judicial Circuit.   

Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling with friends and family, and playing with her French Bulldog, Ziva.
