Kirsten D. Blum

Kirsten D. Blum has a diverse background in complex litigation and focuses her practice on representing lawyers, accountants, and other professionals in professional liability litigation at the federal and state court levels. No stranger to business disputes, Ms. Blum has successfully represented companies and individuals in industries such as banking, architecture, waste management, food services, building construction, government contracting, real estate, accounting, and the law, in connection with high-stakes litigation involving professional malpractice claims, professional licensing issues, internal business investigations, and business disputes. Having represented clients on either side of the dispute, Ms. Blum has garnered the unique ability to adapt her defensive strategies to meet the specific needs of her clients at every stage of the litigation.

In addition to her civil experience, Ms. Blum has an extensive background in defending companies and professionals, including politicians and business executives, in high-profile white collar crimes. These include bribery and fraud cases in state and federal court, as well as criminal investigations by the United States Department of Justice.  Ms. Blum’s knowledge and experience in this area has fused into her work in the professional liability practice group, bringing a level of comfort to clients involved in agency inquiries, including those brought by The Florida Bar and Department of Justice.  

Ms. Blum is a skilled and effective litigation strategist well-versed in all aspects of litigation.  This routinely involves handling large-scale discovery productions, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and arguing complex issues in state and federal court.  Ms. Blum also has extensive first-chair trial experience with a proven success in performing jury and non-jury trials.
