Laura Kelly is a member of the firm’s professional liability practice group through which she frequently represents lawyers, accountants and other professionals. Laura has represented clients in a wide variety of complex claims, which often involve unique underlying fact patterns. She has handled disputes arising out of tax and auditing services, estate planning issues, transactional matters, personal injury claims, deceptive and unfair trade practices violations, and bad faith claims.
Laura is experienced in all aspects of litigation and case management, from initial strategy, discovery and motion practice through mediation and trial. She has considerable experience overseeing large-scale document productions both in civil litigation and in response to agency inquiries, including the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Internal Revenue Service and Committees of the U.S. Congress.
With her broad experience, Laura is able to advise her clients by applying a comprehensive and well-rounded perspective to their respective issues. She works closely with clients to develop trial strategies and craft arguments, demonstrating a solid understanding of how the court approaches cases. She is also fully dedicated to serving clients’ needs in order to achieve efficient and cost-effective results.
As a graduate of Florida State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in finance, and the University of Florida, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree, Laura is sure to win at least one football game every year. She is also a member of the George C. Young American Inn of Court.
