Patrick H. Telan

Patrick H. Telan is the firm’s most experienced healthcare litigation attorney and has tried numerous complex cases in both State and Federal courts. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Spanish with honors in 1989. He attended Stetson University College of Law where he was selected as Outstanding Advocate for the Moot Court Team, which competed nationally. In his last year of law school, Mr. Telan was sworn in as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County where he tried numerous jury trials to verdict. Mr. Telan joined the law firm of Telan, Meltz, Wallace & Eide, P.A. in 1994 and was elected to Partnership in 1999.

Mr. Telan’s practice base is diverse, and includes Medical Malpractice Litigation, Business Litigation, Civil Rights Litigation, Product Liability Litigation, and Environmental Litigation. Mr. Telan, an AV® Preeminent 5.0 out of 5 rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, has litigated a variety of cases in both State and Federal courts across the Southeast and has handled administrative actions before The Department of Business & Professional Regulation, Department of Health (AHCA), and the Florida Board of Medicine. He has also successfully argued cases before various District Courts of Appeal in the State of Florida.

Mr. Telan has lectured healthcare professionals throughout the State of Florida and on a national level on a variety of topics pertaining to the Healthcare Industry. He represents one of the largest healthcare systems in the country, handling various aspects including hospital risk management, compliance, medical staff issues, as well as medical malpractice, wrongful death and personal injury claims.
