Mrs. Stevens received her Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2010. She continued on to receive her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2013. While in law school, Mrs. Stevens served as the Executive Articles Editor and Student Notes Chair for the Journal of Law & Public Policy and was a Teaching Assistant for Trial Practice. She received a book award in Criminal Procedure, Adversary Systems, as well as a Pro Bono Certificate of Outstanding Achievement and Community Service Certificate of Excellence. Mrs. Stevens was also a member of The Environmental Moot Court team, and served as a Certified Legal Intern for the Eighth Judicial Circuit in Gainesville, Florida, where she tried numerous felony jury trials to verdict. Mrs. Stevens joined Telan, Meltz, Wallace & Eide, P.A. upon graduation.
Mrs. Stevens is a Partner in the firm’s healthcare administration and medical malpractice defense practices. Her practice focuses on the representation of hospitals and physicians in all healthcare matters, including risk management, medical staff and credentialing issues, peer review, and professional licensure and disciplinary issues. Additionally, Mrs. Stevens represents hospitals, nursing home facilities, physicians, and other healthcare providers in malpractice actions, including pre-suit and litigation, and regularly provides lectures and presentations to healthcare professionals on a variety of topics pertaining to the healthcare industry. Mrs. Stevens has also successfully argued before the District Courts of Appeals in the State of Florida.
Outside of work, Mrs. Stevens enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children, and their two dogs, and is an avid reader.
