LEGAL ASSISTANT I (PROFESSIONAL NEGLIGENCE)

Our locally established and growing defense law firm has an immediate opening for an experienced Legal Assistant.  This role will support a senior partner and a junior partner on our professional negligence team, which also has three associate roles and two other legal assistant roles.  The Legal Assistant I role will facilitate team-wide consistency and collaborate with other members of the team to ensure all attorneys are supported.  The professional negligence team handles legal malpractice and accounting malpractice cases, as well as administrative proceedings, including Florida Bar grievances and Department of Business and Professional Regulation matters.  

Experience requested as follows:

A qualified candidate must be able to work 8:30am – 5:00pm and (upon rare occasions) additional hours as needed.  Personal skills necessary: 1) be a highly organized and detail oriented multi-tasker; 2) team player mentality; 3) work well with deadlines and modifications thereto; 4) possess the ability to work with all levels of staff, management, opposing counsel and expert witnesses 5) possess an excellent work ethic and be dependable.

LEGAL ASSISTANT (MEDICAL MALPRACTICE)

Must be experienced in all aspects of trial work and preparation and possess expert clerical skills. Our firm’s focus is Medical Malpractice, Health Law, Nursing Home, Professional Malpractice, Local Government and Personal Injury.

Experience is required as follows:
